YEA!!!!

Well I heard from Hugh today. He is doing ok as far as I could tell. We only got to talk for about 2 min. One of those was letting the kids say hi. I later got a call from the mission presidents wife (I think it was the mission president) in Georgia. She let me know that she saw him at church and he was doing ok. She also said, and I could tell in his voice and words, (not that he said it) that he his home sick. And after 4 full days he said it is hard. Well that is the update I have. He doesn't know the address for his mail yet. But it was great to hear from him.

Saturday Blues

Well it is Saturday and I still have not heard from Hugh. He is supposed to call me some time to let me know he made it ok and to give me his address. I can't even mail him a letter because I do not know the address. I am getting used to the feeling of him not being here to help. It really should be no problem for me becase I have been away from him for 2 weeks at a time before. I guess it is the feeling of knowing it will be for much longer. At the latest we will be together again (we will be able to live with him) October of 08. It seems like it will be so long now but it will make it easier because we will get to see him at least 2 times before October 08. It will be Thanksgiving and/or Christmas and there is a formal that the spouses of the officers are expected to be at in March. I look forward to those days. And yes that is right it will be a formal. I get to have Prom all over agin. I am still working out a few details for my dress. I have the bottom all planed. I am still working on the top. But as I get further alom with it I will post pics. But for now Ican let you know what I am going for. http://tinyurl.com/2tcc7w I just need to find a good top with sleeves. I have a good idea already of what I am looking for I just need to be sure it will all fit together good. Well that is all for today. I cant think of a question.

Missing him already

Well I am back from Ft. Wayne. On Tuesday I dropped Hugh off at the ARMY recruiters at 1:30 and we said good bye. I went home right after to start the dreadful cleaning of the house that was put off so we could spend our last few days together doing things we wanted and running errands.
Wednsday I continued to clean and pack up the last of it and then had a neighbor show up when she realised I was cleaning alone and she did a marvoulous job helping. Got in the car at 2pm and headed for "home". Arrived at about 8pm (9pm Indiana time) and got to then hear about how Mom was exhausted from the week of kids.
She let me know she is sick now from lack of sleep (the kids didn't sleep well I guess.) Then when I went to bed I had a head ach and my legs could not get comfrtable. Finally I slept..... till Katie woke up whimpering needing to go to the bathroom at 3:15am which alsowoke Leo up. Then I spent the next hour trying to get him back to sleep. I didn't want him crying much because Katie needed good sleep so she would be happy for school on Thursday. Needless to say I was missing Hugh at 3:30am. What a great husband he is, would get up and help me so I woukd not feel frustrated or alone. Which I felt greatly last night. But amazingly enough, I feel ok today and Leo took 2 naps.

Updatefrom Hugh. I have not heard from him since I dropped him off on Tuesday. Today was his first full day at Basic. The only communication we will have over the next 9 weeks is through letters. After that the rest of his training he can have his cell phone and will have a laptop with internet access. I look forward to that. The next time I can see him (if I chose to go) is Thanksgiving.

Tribute to Hugh

Today is my best friends 32nd birthday. He is a wonderful Husband and Father. He spends as much time as he can with his family. Katie and Leo love him so much. They are very happy that they have such a wonderful Daddy. He is so good when he plays with them. Leo runs to geta ball and Katie does whatever she can to get his attention.

Thank you so much to my wonderful husband for being so good to me and our children. We will miss you so much while you are away at training. But we will rejoice the day we can be together again. I love you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

What to do?

Well being in the country has a lot of benefits. But one of the drawbacks is when you want to go out and do something away from home. The closest town is only a 5 mile drive on highway. There is a great state park with caves (small ones), some playground stuff, a little part has a place where people and kids can play on the creek (which crosses a road and that is where they play), and it follows a nice river. But other than that the town has nothing else. Then the next closest is 20 miles away. Holy cow!!! I love the country but there are some good things about living in the city. So I was looking through some pictures and came across some good ones of our last trip to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. So I thought I would share a few good ones.

But I still like it being quiet here in the country.

Silly, silly, silly!

Well I know it was taken back in July, but Leo is just so funny when the camera comes out. This is his "cheese" smile. It is hard to catch it with a digital camera but I did. At first glance it looks like he is throwing a fit. He gives his good smile after his funny one. This boy just steals my heart every time he smiles. He has a great fake laugh as well. With a big HA, HA, HA. Hugh thinks it is really funny. Thats just a little about our son.

Farm life

Well this is an interesting picture of Katie. But did you see what she is holding. My Mom's chickens started laying eggs and it is so fun to have Katie go out to the coop to look and see if there are any eggs. We are tryingt to get settled here with my parents. Hugh will be leaving soon for basic, and getting a bit nervous as the day comes closer. I do not have my own computer set up right now so that is why there havent been very many posts. As soon as it is set up and the wireless card put in I will be a much better blogger. Later!
