Saddened
Guess that's all I really had to talk about.
This was a good Sunday. Things just went very smooth. I even got a short little cat nap in. And it has been raining this afternoon. We so needed it! Other than that we are just hanging out. I have been working hard to get my house cleaned and organized the way I would like it. I just wish the progress I made everyday would stay put. I seem to just get the toys cleaned up and dishes done just to start another day and it all start over again. Well, till next time my blogging world.

Creative Title here
I have a new favorite store!!! And I am proud to say I bought it at Ross!! This is a fantastic place. I do not think I will want to shop anywhere else from now on. Can we say cute clothes and great price!
So here is how it all started.
My friend who lives just across the street from me was wearing this really cute shirt. And I did compliment her on it but did not dare ask where she got it because no matter where, I still could not get it because I have a pet-peeve about going out and buying a shirt that you already know someone who is a close friend and lives close that already has it. The next day I am shopping at Wal-Mart (my all time favorite one stop shop) and alas there it is. The really cute shirt. Oh and different colors. No matter I still like the blue one my friend was wearing.
So I proceed to shop (I was there for food anyhow). So here we are a couple weeks later and I see my neighbor, right next door. And she is wearing the same shirt as other mentioned friend. And yes it is still just as cute but now I REALLY can't go buy it. Sad. And then the next thought came to me. I have got to stop buying all my clothes from Wal-Mart. And one might think why? Well it is by no means because my other 2 neighbors shop there and now own the same shirt.
I got to thinking, the racks at Wal-Mart are loaded with shirts that look alike and then on the other side of the rack are the same shirts but in 3 different colors. So they are just sitting there waiting for 20 people of various sizes to come by and purchase them just to restock the rack with 20 more shirts just like them. And not just where I live. Its all over!
So here I am walking through Wal-Mart and see a lady wearing a shirt that I have too. Thank goodness I was not wearing it that day!! Awkward!
So I have taken the leap outside of my comfort zone and shop for clothes elsewhere. I considered Target but that would be the same think just a nicer place. So I forge into the local Mall. And all I could think was what a waste of money! Way too expensive. Not a place for the everyday wear shopping. Maybe something for a special occasion. I then started having my doubts about shopping anywhere else. I might go to Kohls but again same story AND pricey clothes.
I decided to try Ross and I was in heaven!! Great clothes, new look for me, and awesome prices! Not to mention the racks were not full of 20 of the same shirt over and over. So what I got was for me and not me and the other 20 people in the store. I can not wait to go looking for a new shirt again in the future. I walked out with 7 new shirts (one was for Leo) and spent less than I would have at Wal-Mart for the same amount of clothes. On top of that, the clothes I got were way better quality, fit better and looked nicer in general! And I call it a feel good store. It was not a place where there Mediums would fit Katie. I could look at a size and tell it was too big for me so I would go to the next size. Everything I tried on fit me just right.

Goals
Daily Scriptures- Well having the daily part has been a struggle for me still. BUT, I did read the whole BofM this summer. From 1 Nephi to Moroni. Done!! I am very proud of myself. It was not easy. But it is done and many times I had to do a lot of catching up. But I did it
Twice Daily prayers- Still working on.
Service- I think I have done a lot of service this year. I do not plan to stop but I have done a lot! So I think that goal is pretty much met now I just have to keep it up. Not that service was ever a problem for me, I just wanted to focus more on it.
FHE every week- Here's the thing. I was raised in a home where FHE for us was being home together and not answering the phone. It just worked. So if I do not have it structured I do not thing that is going to keep me from blessings. So, we are home, as family, spending time together. And that is pretty much every night. We do have our occasional night of staying up watching a movie together and popcorn. Either way, we are home and as a family.
Weight loss- Ummmmmm, more to come on that in a future post.
Patience- This one hit me not too long ago. I was attending the Temple and I wasling in the room and sat to wait and one work came to me. It hit me as if someone was standing in front of me telling me to my face. “Patience, be patient with the kids.” If that was the only thing I walked away with that day, it was meant for me. And I think in all honesty I have been way more patient with the kids than I have ever been before. And I do remind myself that I do need to be patient.
Pun-time with kids- this one I am not sure about. I want to say that we have had a fun time. We have done things together. But I think it is still a work in progress. My goal with this one was not to just make sure the kids are having fun but that we are having fun together…. Me having fun with them.
Clean Kitchen- this I think will always be a work in progress. But I do think I have made some good progress on it. I have had many moments where my kitchen doesn’t seem to be dirty for more that 15 min at a time. I love those days. I am in one of those moments now. I am still trying to be really good about it.
Fold clothes in a timely mane- yet another thing I am still working on. I have been doing a little better but still far from where I want to be.
Organize- this has more fallen towards de-junking, which I am doing. And a lot of it! I feel like as I de-junk my house my life gets a little de-junked too.
So there is the update for that. I feel like I have learned so much this last summer. But again that will be a whole other post all to itself. I already have the list going of the things I have done and learned. I can not wait to share it with everyone. But it will have to wait a few more weeks. I am not done learning yet.
Can't forget a picture of the kids. And they are eating homemade tortillas. More to come on that.
