Candy Land

We got Candy land for Christmas and this was the third time we had played it. And Leo was sort of part of this game as well. We at least had a marker on there for him. Well needless to say Leo won. I dont know what was worse for her, losing, or losing to Leo. Here are the pics.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I do hope everyone had a good Christmas. I know mine started off weird and then it got lots better. Katie threw up again in the night and then when she got up in the morning she was very mello, meloncoly, mopi-ish. It was all so strange for her. It wasn't untill I showed her the presents that she peped up and I was able to give her a bath and then we opened presents. We let Katie hand them out because she can read her name and at least knows what all of our names start with. Gave her good practice. It was all very exciting. Katie would give Leo a present and then she would do most of the unwraping for him. He didn't mind. It was all very entertaining. Hugh got a handheld tetris game and a game called lLightning reaction. He loves them both. I got a Magic bullet from Shawn and the movie pride and prejudice and a book that has 7 of Jane Austins books in one from Hugh. Very exciting for me.
I made the kids quilts and finished Leos at 12:30am on Christmas day. I have decided that it will be a tradition for me to make them something home made from me for Christmas. Well Merry Christmas to all.

Twilight

What a great book!! It took me 2 days to read and that was only because I started it at like 9pm. I had to eventually sleep. I finaly turned the light off at 1am. But then Igot back up to read one more chapter. I ended up reading 2 and then went to bed at 2:30am. I cant start the next book untill after Christmas because I have too many things to do before Christmas is here.

Well they will be making it a movie and I just saw who was going to play Edward. I personaly think he is not that good looking. There is another guy Henry Cavill that would have been perfect for the part but I guess he was too old at 24. He is on that link as well.

Great book. Must read.

My favorite movie

So, when people would ask what my favorite movie was I really didn't have one. But I do now. I just watched Pride and Prejudice last night for the second time. The first time was with kids around and people talking in the background. I learned that if you can't hear the beginning or you do not understand it then you will be lost the rest of the movie. It was nice to be able to rewind when I needed to hear something over again. This movie brings so many emotions to the surface. I absolutely fell in love with the movie and it will be in my collection soon. I didn't want to part with it today to return it to blockbuster. This is a must see movie. Just wanted to share that with everyone.

Basic Graduation

We got to see Hugh!! It was so great to see him. They had family day on Nov. 28 and he got to leave the fort for the day. He had to wear that uniform and it was the first time they had worn those. Katie was thrilled to see him. Leo wasn't sure what to think. But he would not look away from Hugh, Not even to look at me. It was so cute. When we left the fort Hugh just wanted to sit at the hotel and eat pizza.

The next day was graduation and they wore the BDU's until the ceremony was over then they had to change into the other eniform to leave the fort. Then a repeat of the day before. We did get lucky that he got the weekend off and we got to spen more time with him. He also gets to come home for Christmas. We are really excited. But then he gors back to start his Officer Canidate school.

We are so proud of him and all that he has accomplished. It is not and easy thing to be away from him but in the end we will all be stronger.
