Celtic Thunder

We went to see Celtic Thunder last night. We got there really early. On the plus side of being so early we got free parking. Then we walked around the center trying to decide what to eat for dinner. As we walked we stumbled upon the buses!! So we decided to hang around for a bit. So here is what happened....

We met some other fans. This girl had a book that she had drawn pictures of the group. They were really good and she nice enough and offered to let Katie color on some. She was really cool and we hung out the rest of the evening until the concert.

And then Ryan walked by and was attacked by the stalking fans!!

Next to walk by was Neil, he mainly plays the guitars for the group and sings a bit now too.

Sometime later Damian walked by.... twice!!!

We didn't see anyone else before the show so we went in and got a bite to eat. The show was pretty good. I have learned that concerts don't fascinate me. I have a DVD of them and I like that I can skip over the songs that don't have a place in my heart and the cameras get right up close to them. It was a nice experience. But I learned a lot about myself as well. It does not effect me to meet celebrities. I think I would do well living in CA.

After the concert I was determined that Katie would get to meet Keith (the whole reason for skipping out on a good dinner). So we went to the after show fan site and were the first ones there. Keith was the first to come out and he walked right by the crowd. I was not sure if he was going to come back. But then Katie turned into me and started crying. She wanted to give him her drawing. Her little feelings were hurt and it made me a little teary eyed for her. It was cute. So he came back she gave him the picture (he was ready to sign it and hand it back) but I told him it was for him and he looked and then asked Katie for a hug. Then moved on. I asked if I could get a picture of him and Katie and he said yes and said it was the only picture he was going to do that night. Katie was very happy!

Then we drove away. While we were leaving the parking garage we could here the screams of all the girls as the guys came out. It was pretty funny. Then dropped my Mom off at the hotel and drove home. Katie conked out as I was getting gas.

So for me, I am ok if I never see a live concert again. But it was fun going with my Mom and my little girl.

I would have not wasted my time waiting around to meet them if Katie was not with us.

Unpacking!

Hugh finally got his things from his deployment. His bag got wet and some things were a little destroyed. But most things were ok. The kids wanted to help...
