Before and After

So my sister and I were at my parents house at the same time during the summer. our times here only overlapped about a week but then I was ready to go home. So she had asked me one day if she could do my hair and I agreed. I'm sure she was just bursting with joy inside because she had been waiting my whole life for me to say ok willingly. So the top picture is sort of the end results. She had a lot more fun that just curling my hair. She actually tried to make me look like her.
That is what this picture is. I think I look really goofy. But she had fun and that's all that counts. So now that she has had her fun I can get serious with my hair now.

Shawn has been battling cancer for 10 years now. He is currently in the hospital. He had a cyst growing in his tumor and making him worse and ended up having surgery to drain the cyst. Shortly after he had passed out in his chair and ended up in the hospital. Turned out his blood pressure was really low and he was not getting enough oxygen. He was rushed to another hospital and later that night at like 12am he had open (heart) chest surgery and a blood clot 16 inches long was removed. He is doing a bit of therapy right now but will be home by Friday to fully recover and then will start therapy again in November. I can not give a financial donation to help with research. I think that something a cancer victim would want more that money is hair. So I give my hair to help those in need. This is the second time I have donated 10 inches to Locks of Love.

This is after my hair has been cut.

I've been holding back.....

Let me tell you a story. I was at the store a few months back only to pick up a few items. I looked at what was in my hands and thought... wipes- I have kids, Hot pockets- I'm starving, pickles- hum.... I must be pregnant. So to those of you who didn't already know yes I am pregnant. I privatized my blog so I could post this news. I am actually really far along. I am 21 1/2 weeks along. I found out I was pregnant 2 days before I was late. I was just curious and I have no patients. I had no symptoms of being pregnant either. We did find out what we were having last Monday on September 15th. Now I had not fully decided if I wanted to know. As soon as I was at the appointment someone asked if I was going to find out and it was a definite yes. Now even if I had said no I still would not have looked away from that screen. Before the guy could tell me what I was having I already had seen for myself. As soon as he was in that area I said "Oh look I'm having a boy." So there you have it, baby Johnson is a boy for sure. And the plan right now is for his name to be Elliott. So in about 19 weeks time we will have our little Elliott join this world. I am due Feb. 1, 2009. Katie will turn 5 just a few days later and Leo will follow a couple months later with the big 3. That's all for now. I am in ---- right now so I will post the pictures of the ultrasound as soon as Hugh e-mails them to me. Till then I suppose.

Goin' for a ride

Don't forget the time is comming near that my blog will no longer be accessable to the public. Please comment with an e-mail address if you would like an invite. If you have no idea what I am talking about then please refer to this link .

This is my new transportation. It is an '07 Dodge Durango SLT with 3rd row seating. It does not seat 7 it seats 8. I love it so much. We went to look at a white one that we found online. They had 3 that were the same, a white one, silver one, and a gold one. They guy said we could pick the one we wanted for the same price as the white one. Hugh picked this one because it has a leather interior. It is so smooth to drive and and we have so much more space in it. Since we still have my Jeep the kids refer to it as my "new car." We have had it for a few weeks now. Leo saw this picture and and I said "its Mommy's car" and he said "no, its new car."

Thank you so much Hugh for my new car. I love it so much and I love you even more.

Oh, this is the gold one.

Jimmy & Patsy in Beijing

My in-laws, Jimmy and Patsy Offen, went to Beijing for the Olympics last week. Even though there were thousands of empty seats in the arenas, tickets were extremely hard to come by. Unfortunately as a result of their failure to plan ahead all they could manage to get tickets for was rhythmic dancing.
