Big O Post

First things first, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEO!!!!!! Yesterday was Leo's 3rd birthday. I can't believe he is already 3. I wish we could have done something a little more special for him. We decided to go to the zoo. It took a little over 2 hours to get there. It was a long walk from the parking place to the actual zoo. By then the kids were tired of walking. Then everything was so spaced out that we didn't see very many animals before we were ready to go home. But here are some good pictures.

The kids were helping the dung beetles help push the dung.

This was at the point where we had frozen lemonade and decided to walk back to the car and go home.

Leo is sporting his new bike here. He also got a Lightning McQueen helmet.

I captured this just at the right moment. How much better could you ask for.

Simon was wiped out from the days events.

Then we picked up our puppy today. I know, I know, it's Sunday but yesterday wasn't going to work and Monday wasn't going to work. So we have all been waiting for a decision on the name and it is .... drum roll please..... Sage. She is now 6 weeks old and as cute as ever. Katie went with me to pick her up and as you can see Katie really picked her up. Ha ha.

She got to ride in a box on the way home. It was a little difficult because she kept putting her front paws up on the box trying to get out. But we made it.

Under the chair is where she felt safe when we first got her home. Katie and Leo were trying to coax her out with toys.

I think she fits right in with the family. This was when she started to relax and started following whoever was close to her. She made her way to the living room.

Everyone in the family seems to be enjoying her. Soon the size difference between these two will be a lot bigger.

She felt very at home outside and in the grass. At first she would only take a few steps at a time and then lay down. but she was soon comfortable enough and was following Leo around as he rode his bike. I really like this picture.

Thanks Melodie for a beautiful puppy!

No name pup

Well it is so close to our puppy coming home that Hugh won't let me make the drive to go see her. So here is a picture the breeder took on Sunday at 5 weeks old. We still have not picked out a name. I am still pulling for Sage or Layla. Katie wants Ella, cute but I know too many babies named Ella.Leo will go with anything anyone says. All depending on who he likes the most is who he will side with. Hugh thinks Katie should name her because supposedly its he dog. WRONG!!! I asked if he was going to buy all of our kids a dog when they turned 5 and he said its because she is the oldest. (No favorites here) So I will let you all know what her name is when we decide on one. She is just so cute!!!

First 5

I'm getting something from Abby....so I'm spreading the fun! I like her restrictions and limitations, so I'm keeping them.

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. If you have a request, I'd be happy to entertain it...(within reason, of course, and my budget). This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make for you! But I hope you will...
2. What I create will be just for you. Or maybe a member of your family if you'd rather.
3. Give me at least 'til August to finish
4. If you are long-distance, I'll probably send via cheapest shipping.

The catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people to comment.

Simon's Smile

9 1/2 weeks. Taken April 3, 2009. I have to make note of the date because the date on the camera was wrong. He sure is a cute little boy. And I love when he smiles at me.

2 weeks old

I can not believe how big she has gotten. The name considerations right now are Layla and Sage. Hugh didn't think it could be the same puppy, but it is. I won't get to see her for about 2 weeks so it will be a shock to see how big she is then.

Is that a rat?

No silly!! It's a puppy!!!! The one I am holding we are not getting. But the one Katie is holding we are getting!!! Its a little girl German Shepherd and is 3 days old in these pictures (today). We have not decided on a name yet. But in 6 weeks she will be coming to our hose and life as we know it will be even more confusing. But we are still so excited.

I did not tell Katie where we were going so when we pulled into the drive she said "Are we going to see the baby puppies!!" Real excited like. It was very cute.

Hair today, gone tomorrow

Well I guess I just had enough of the knots. I cut Katie's hair today. Yeah you read that right, I cut Katie's hair. It could have been a lot better if I had taken her somewhere but I wanted to save the $11 I would have spent. Actually I bought a new clipper set to cut Leo and Hugh's hair with the money I would have spent on hair cuts for the 3 of them. Now if only I could cut my own hair we would be set. So here are before and after pictures of my little girl. She was excited to have it cut and wanted it to be shorter. I think she just wanted to experience getting he hair cut to the fullest. She wanted it up to her chin. Yeah, I don't think so.

(So amazingly enough, I posted this before I looked at Anna's blog. And we do it ourselves to save money and who cares, they wont remember if you mess up, right? Note to Anna: I have cut Leo's hair plenty of times, sometimes it looks great and sometimes it doesn't, but he still loves me.)
