So close and yet so far

So it seems like just yesterday I had just moved here and now here we are about to move away again. I am a little stressed with being pregnant and moving. But everything seems to be working out ok. The next place we go is ------- in -------. Hugh will feel at home but it will be something new for me. I am just glad there will already be someone there I know. My cousin and her husband are stationed there. So it will be nice to re-connect with her. We are just working out details like when I am going to leave, when our stuff will be picked up and so forth. But it hasn't been too bad.

So here is my prego picture. I am 30 weeks and growing. Elliott likes to move all the time and poke his knee out my left side. It has been a good pregnancy. Its amazing there are only 10 weeks left. It has gone by so fast. Katie and Leo are both excited. Leo likes to lift the shirt from my belly and say "Hi Leo" and Katie gives him hugs and kisses. So that's about it right now.

Good Monday

So after the excitement of Halloween (sorry I forgot to take pictures) we had a weekend of stress. Hugh is in the process of doing a major project that took up his weekend and Monday and Tuesday (tomorrow). I attempted church alone and could barley make it through the bread and water. We left after that was passed. The kids were such wiggle worms. I don't know if it was leftover sugar or what. But they did sleep till 7:45 that day which was great. Oh up until I remembered the time changed and that made it 6:45. Monday came around with the plan to start potty training Leo. He is 2 1/2 and I figured he could earn his Halloween candy by going potty. Silly idea I know. How could he even understand that he only gets his candy if he goes on the pot. Well ITS WORKING!! I am proud to say that the time that he was in underwear he only had one accident and that is because he was crying really hard and I put him on his bed until he was done crying and he went pee and then cried even harder. Then just before bed I put him on the pot one last time and he POOPED!!! Yea!! He is becoming such a big boy!!

And here is Katie. Oh I forgot to mention. The school called. Katie has been on a waiting list for pre-school here on post. They wanted to know if I was interested in a spot that opened. Of course I am!!! So she started school today. She was very excited. I know she has been getting bored around here. So this will be good even if we are here for only 2 or 3 more months. She even had homework! And the teacher said they get homework a lot. So Katie should be pretty busy. But when I am trying to instruct her what to do for her homework it makes me understand why I can't homeschool. I don't even have a desire to be a teacher. I just get too frustrated. I hope it will get easier for me to help as she gets older.

And that was our exciting Monday.

Pumpkin Carving

We got pumpkins from Wal-mart because I don't think they have any REAL pumpkin patches around here and I didn't want to go hunting for one. So this is Hugh carving Katie's pumpkin. This is after he had already carved his earlier.


This was half way through carving Katie's. We just had to trace her hands and then it was done. I will get a picture of the finished product posted on Halloween.

Leo's is still in the process of being carved. We are both tired of carving and have to keep taking turns and taking breaks from it. And the good carving knife we were using broke. But his will be finished and displayed with the rest tomorrow. We have them in the front yard. i hope they will be safe cause we have put a lot of work in to them.

The kids were watching Caillou on the computer and looked so cute sitting there all nice.

I need candy!

We were invited to go to a Trunk-or-Treat with my neighbors Company on post on Thursday. The next morning the kids got their first piece after breakfast. This is Leo when he was finished with his piece.



He had been saying it in a really funny way before I grabbed the camera. Like he was going to turn into a monster if I didn't get it for him right then. But it was still funny.

Then Katie wanted her picture taken and it turned out really cute. Now if only she had been dressed and had her hair brushed really cute.
