Corn fields

Well we are at my parents for the next couple of weeks. Here are some pictures so far.

Simon chillin' on the swing.

This is a chicken run that is being used as a rabbit run. Both Katie and her cousin have their bunnies here. It is fun to see them get in with the bunnies.

My brother has gotten this bright idea to get a goat and.... eat. We will see if he goes through with it.

In the mean time the kids are having fun with it and they know what it is for.

He also wanted to have baby chicks here while all the grand kids come to visit. Almost all will be here in the next few weeks.

He's going to eat the goat? I didn't know people even ATE goat. Good luck with that. The chicks are adorable as well as your kids. How fun.

i just had dinner with the sister missionaries tonight and one of them was telling me how her family raises goats for eating. she said it was a cross between beef and deer meat. she never slaugthered one but she always had to help her mom and aunt skin and prep it because it is such a big job. her family also raises rabbits and chickens for eating. rabbit tastes like chicken only better, she says. is your brother hungry for that too or are those pets? have fun on your vacation!

My sister in law just bought a goat for milking. She recently found out half of her family is sensitive/allergic to cow milk. I haven't really heard of raising goats for the meat, but it doesn't surprise me. Good luck to him.
