Lunch Time!

Because I just couldn't bring myself to pay $7 each for something I didnt like, I made my own.

Duct tape lunch bags!! I had plenty of time before church to whip these out. (Kids start school tomorrow if its not cancelled). I love the lunch "boxes"!! I will do a tutorial on it. Simon asked for one as well, how could I say no! Oh, and found out as we were about to pull away from home that church was cancelled due to the whether. Its really not that bad out but I guess its supposed to get worse in the next 3 hours.

Petal

I totally missed posting my kids birthdays. Really they were both kinda lame birthdays. Guess that's what happens when you're in the middle of moving. Simon turned 5!!! His was not so bad. We were in the middle of packing and Hugh was not in town. But he had a cake and ice cream and a gift too!! Katie on the other hand... We closed on our new place the day before her birthday. Slept on the floor of said new place. Didn't have a cake or ice cream or even a gift ready for her. Such a lame mom!! We did go buy a cake and ice cream but we were stumped on what to get her. Well, a few weeks late but I am sure she thinks the wait was worth it.

Meet Petal the leopard gecko. Katie wanted a pet more than anything. We acquired her from a friend that was trying to find a new home for her. She did have a different name but I told Katie she had to give her a new name to make it officially hers. We instantly fell in love. This has been a new experience for me too. I have had snakes before a little green anoles. But never a gecko. It has been so much fun and a great experience so far.

Thank you Clair for giving us this awesome pet!! She loves her new house and has been eating and even pooped for Katie to clean up sometime last night.

Greatful Sunday

Ok, going to start this off on a good note. I've been away far too long. Not really sure how to do greatful Sundays. So here goes.

•Been in the new house a full week!

•Haven't had to listen to any neighbors music for that whole week!

•So much space in this new house.

•My hubby that didn't think I was totally crazy when I picked out this awesome house.

•My Oliver that smiles at me just because I look at him.

•Simon who still likes to snuggle even if it is at 6am.

•Leo cleaning up messes when i ask even if he didnt make it.

•Katie always wanting to spend time with me, glad she likes me so much.

I know, a lot was about my new place. But I truly am greatful.

Day 1

So I'm going to give 25 days of thankfulness a try. But to get started, posting day 1 might help.

I'm thankful for my Grandma and the time I got to spend with her this week.

New Math Game for Homeschooling!

I went to a hobby Shop with the boys last night and happened across some different kinds of dice. The numbers varied. I discovered they had 20 sided dice. Brilliant idea popped into my head. MATH GAME!! I decided to invest in 4 dice. 2 for each. That way they can play their "game" at the same time. Katie will roll and multiply the numbers and Leo will vary between adding and subtracting. This morning they just wanted to jump right into it! SCORE!! I am excited to get them really started with it. I want to make it more adventurous than just doing math. Maybe some sort of beat the time or create some game board to go with it. I am just not sure yet. But I am sure I can come up with something. I am just glad the kids were excited to get started with it. I had to take them away because Katie was getting frustrated with not having a notebook to work the problems out and Leo was getting frustrated because he is not yet into subtracting double digits from double digits. Funny kids.

my new Nexus

did I ever tell you about how much I love my new Nexus. I just discovered this new way of typing. I have a microphone button on my keyboard I just tap that and start talking and it types everything out for me. And now I have just discovered how to end my sentences. I am writing this blog post just by talking. I think technology is wonderful. I don't even have to think how to spell anymore.

I love giving the different commands. Every time I end a sentence I just have to tell it to end it. And to go to the next line all I have to do is tell it to go to the next line. Not using those words but if I use those words it will do it.I know this supposed might not make much sense but I love my Nexus.
